While the rest of you were sitting around sipping your café lattes last a Sunday morning, 17 fearless kitesurfers took on
the WindAid challenge: to kite from Coolum to Sunshine Beach.
The surf was like a washing machine, the sky so blue it hurt and the wind – well, over the course the day, it gave us everything it had.
Twelve of the crew managed to touchdown at Sunshine, with conditions proving too brutal for some. Nonetheless, it was a truly awesome day and we should all be proud that we made it without any major breakages to people or gear.
