Thanks for the Biggest KiteFest EVER!

Thanks to everyone who came along to KiteFest 2012. What a great weekend! The weather really turned it on for the event with blue skies and light winds over the two days. We would have liked a little more wind, but Sunday was great when everything got into the air and lit up the skies as planned.

In fact it was the biggest KiteFest ever, for both the organizers and for Kitepower! Having the shop over the road proved to be extremely popular, and all weekend we were selling every kind of weird and wonderful kite you can imagine. Most popular was the brand new Prism Zero G, the little glider kite was perfect for the conditions and we almost sold out of the things! We’re pretty sure almost every member of the Redcliffe kite club now has one in their quiver. Maybe they can show us how to fly it properly!! Our bigger seller over the road in the park was the old faithful, Delta Rainbow flier. At A market special price of only $15, these were a steal and flew great in the light winds we had all weekend. Buy one for yourself here.

We’d also like to welcome all the new members to our weekly mailing list. Hopefully you all enjoy what we’ve got to say every week and if you don’t, well – that’s ok too. If you know someone who will appreciate our awesome little blog about everything kites and kitesurfing, forward it on to them and share the love a little ?

Thanks from all the team at Kitepower QLD for a great weekend!
