We caught Rhys stroking the new Slingshot Misfit board as he was putting it together this morning. Moments later, he had his feet on the pads, saying “Ooohh yeah. Oh baby… These are awesome.”
As you can gather, at KPQ we get extremely excited when new gear comes in and there were whoops of joy when the courier man delivered the Misfit, plus Slingshot’s 2010 RPM and the new Octane kites.
The Octane replaces the hugely popular REV II. Below is a video best described as “kite porn”. Warning, it contains gratuitous shots of two kites relaunching and many close-ups of the Octane’s special bits.
The Misfit is strong on the inside and flexible on the outside (just like the KPQ team, really) giving it massive energy and pop – a great board for freestyle riders. As for the foot pads, Slingshot has this new fandangled bolt-on integrated foot pad and micro-adjust strap system designed to increase comfort, convenience and performance with effortless installation.
